What is aFlock camera?
If you've seen a small black camera on a slim pole with a solar panel, you've probably met one.
A Flock camera is an automated license plate reader (ALPR). Flock says its system captures license-plate images plus vehicle characteristics, the observation time, and camera location. Read Flock's data description.
Authorized users can search observations and may share access under their agency's settings and agreements. Flock describes 30 days as its standard retention period, while contracts, law, or preservation requests can change how long data remains available. Review Flock's evidence policy.

Three things to look for
A small black camera
Roughly the size of a soda can, aimed at the roadway.
A slim pole
Often freshly installed near an intersection or neighborhood entrance.

The angled panel powers the unit so it can run anywhere, unattended.
